Today I will be creating this look!
I will be doing this tutorial layout a little differently. Let me know what you think!
These are the brushes I'll be using:
And these are the colours:
1: A dark, reddish, matte, brown from my Coastal Scents 88 palette
2: Carbon by MAC
3: Black Tied by MAC
4: Tako by Sugarpill
5: Tiara by Sugarpill
Start with a prepped eye. I used Too Faced Shadow Insurance all over the lid and under the lower lash line. If you are messy when it comes to dark shadows, especially black, feel free to apply your foundation after you've finished this look. That way shadow fallout is easier to clean up without ruining your makeup.
Using brush 'A' apply the dark brown colour onto the outer 3/4 of your lid. Blend into the crease and using the tip of the brush pull some colour under the lash line. Use the tip of the brush again and dip it into the shadow. This is what you'll use to create the rounded cat eye shape. Starting just under the bottom lash line pull the brush out and slightly up, as if you're following the same shape as the bottom lash line. Blend towards your crease. Keep repeating that until you get the shape you want. Wipe off your brush until there's no product left. Now blend out the edges until soft. Blend along the edge of the shadow, not out. You want to keep the strong shape, but not the hard line.
Using the same brush apply Carbon right on top of the brown and repeat the previous steps, keeping slightly inward from the edges of the brown. You want your black to have a slight brown halo.
Using the same brush, again, repeat the previous steps with Black Tied. This is to add even more black and some sparkle!
Take brush 'B' and lots of Tako and pack on a lot of colour. You want this to be very white! Repeat with brush 'C', but under the inner lash line.
Using brush 'A' and 'B' take turns blending out the harsh lines. Use brush 'A' to blend towards the inner corner and brush 'B' the opposite way. Don't blend too much black towards the inner corner. Try not to add more shadow or it will become too messy. Take brush 'C' and blend the harsh line under the lash line.
Using brush 'B' take some Tiara and pack the glitter all over your lid. Try not to get too much glitter onto your outer cat shape or the look will become too intense, just keep it on the lid. This stuff can be very messy so start with a tiny amount. Keep packing it until you have as much silver as you feel necessary. Using brush 'C' add Tiara to the lower lash line and inner corner.
Using brush 'D' apply a black gel liner across the top lash line. I used Blacktrack by MAC. Feel free to use Carbon as a liner instead. It'll create a softer line.
Apply mascara and you're done!
Until next time Dolls and Cats,

Thank you <3 I like having the steps right beside the photos to make it easier ^_^
DeleteI tried this one today! Although I don't have high end cosmetics and could not find sparkles (yes glitter but it was not what I wanted) I think it turned out awesome. It didn't even take me as long as I thought it would. Thank you very much for teaching me pretty eye makeup today :)
ReplyDeleteYay! I'm glad you tried it! I love when people try my tutorials <3 It's definitely better just to use what you already have instead of the exact same product. Every brand pretty much has every colour now so you can get a similar look with other products!
